Tenets of faith

The Holy Bible: We believe The Bible is the inspired Word of God. That it is infallible and unchanging.(2 Tim. 3:16).

The Godhead: Our God is one, manifested in three persons (Trinity)– the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).

Man, His Fall, and Redemption: Man is created in the likeness and the image of God, but sin came into the world through Adam’s fall. Now the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ(Roman. 3:23 Eph. 2:8).

The Blessing: The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, speak of the principles of prosperity through sowing and reaping (Malachi 3:10; John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 9:6-11).

Eternal Life and New Birth: The new birth is necessary to all men, and produces eternal life (John 3:3-5).

Water Baptisms: Baptism in water by immersion is for believers only (Matt.28:19).

Baptism in the Holy Ghost: This gift from God is accompanied by the evidence of the speaking in other tongues and is for all believers (Acts 1; 2:4).

Sanctification: The Bible teaches that without holiness, no man can see the Lord (1 Thess. 5:23).

The Gifts of the Spirit: The gifts of the Spirit are given to profit the whole Church (1 Cor. 12:1-11).

Divine Healing: Healing is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (Matt. 8:17).

The Resurrection of the Just and the Return of Our Lord: Jesus shall return to earth together with His saints (Rev.20:6).

Hell and Eternal Retribution: The one who physically dies in his sin without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost (Heb. 9:27-28).

Marriage, Gender Identity and Sexual Relations.

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen 1:26-27.) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen 2:18-25.) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman in the confines of marriage (1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4.) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor 6:9-10.) We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the Church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to our members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the Church, Inc. in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. (Matt 5:16; Phil 2:14-16; 1 Thess 5:22.) We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11.) We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of the Church.

The Assembly of the Brethren

We believe that it is essential for the church to meet in person. We are mandated in scripture to meet regularly and to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ daily. The meeting in person is essential to fulfilling the Biblical sacraments as delineated in the Holy Bible. Lay hands on people, sing praises to God, shout for joy, dance in worship, baptize new believers in water, are a few of the sacraments that must be fulfilled without regard to how many are in attendance; few or many, dozens or thousands, whether sick or well, during peacetime or in a declared war time, indoors or outdoors, as laid out in the Bible. The Church will hold meetings without restriction as to the presence or absence of apparel, devices, masks, immunizations, vaccines, or other mandates that are not specifically laid out in the Bible. (Zeph 2:1, Mark 2:27, Hebrews 10:25)

Evangelism and Missions.

We believe in evangelistic and missionary fervor and endeavor. (Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15-18)

Prosperity.

We believe that poverty was part of the curse and that redemption from it was provided in the atonement. That a combination of living according to God’s Word along with the biblical principles of tithing, sowing and reaping, and giving and receiving are the God given path to increase and prosperity. (Jos 1:8; II Cor 8:9; Gal 3:13-14; Luke 4:18-19; Luke 6:38; II Cor 9:6-11; Pro 10:22)

Mission Statement:

Raising up a people of great faith to fulfill the great commission.

– Mark 16:15-18 (NKJV)

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Core values:

  1. We believe the three major keys to a successful church are the unshakeable foundation of the Word of God, the power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost, and the fulfillment of the great commission by every believer.
  2. We are called to be a multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-generational body of believers with dynamic ministries to meet the needs of the people.
  3. Without faith, It is impossible to please God and we are to be a people of GREAT faith.
  4. Every service should include dynamic praise and worship, anointed preaching and teaching and powerful demonstration of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that Jesus provided freedom from poverty by his sacrifice giving us access to prosperity through the biblical principles of tithing, sowing and reaping.
  6. To break the mold of religious tradition and thinking, remaining flexible and yielded to the Holy Spirit to direct our ministry.
  7. Every believer can and should live a holy life through the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit free from the bondage of sin.
  8. The love of the Lord Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith, the greatest gift humanity has ever received and the primary message of the Church.
